The Kiri KAL is almost done. (Don't worry if you haven't finished -there's no real deadline.) When one knit along (KAL) is wrapping up, we start looking around for a new project that will inspire and entertain us. This time, one of our very own local knitters - and designers! - came to the rescue. Elizabeth Smith of The Brown Stitch just published that coolest cardigan pattern that had the entire TKE gang talking all week. It was decided almost instantly that we MUST make it our next KAL and get started on it as soon as possible.
So... Announcing the Getting Ready for Fall KAL - The Concetta Cardigan by Elizabeth Smith. (Many thanks to Elizabeth for permission to use the following photos.)

As you can see the cardigan is a classic design with a modern twist. It can be worn as a jacket, or as a great layering piece. Best of all, it is the type of style that looks fabulous on everyone.
To purchase the pattern you can either visit Elizabeth's website: The Brown Stitch, or the pattern description on Ravelry. Once you have the pattern, it's time to pick out the yarn! Since the sweater is knit in a worsted weight, there are a crazy number of options. I'm pretty sure that I will be going with Malabrigo Worsted, although the final decision will be made on Thursday. Becka is considering Mirasol Miski.
Once you've decided to join and picked your yarn, let me know you're in. In addition to Becka and myself, Lisa, Susan, and Cheryl will be KALing with us.
