Nothing like a good 8-14 inches of snow to get March started. At least it is very pretty. I'll be spending my snow day spinning and knitting.
On the needles right now:

Angel Lace out of Hempathy. Becka made the Leaf Lace Shawl using Hempathy last summer and I've wanted one of my own ever since. It is a very easy repeat, and Hempathy is this magic yarn that shows the lace pattern beautifully even unblocked.
On the wheel:

This is a merino/angora/silk blend that I picked up at SPA. Yesterday I spun and plied about 3 ounces.
I'm still working on my afghan and got another skein spun and ready to knit. There is some pure alpaca from Spunky Eclectic that Becka got me for Christmas that I might try later this afternoon as a reward for doing some desperately needed housecleaning.
Now to share some great projects from the Knitting Experience crowd. Please forgive me for bragging, but I'm just so incredibly proud of my fair isle students. Check out their Fake Isle hats:

And Marcia too! But somehow, I don't have a picture of her hat. However, I do have pics of the gorgeous sweater she made for her granddaughter out of Debbie Bliss cashmerino aran. And a cute felted bag out of Malabrigo.

Mandy created the most gorgeous poncho using Noro Silk Garden. She made up the pattern as she went, and the results are stunning.

Michelle has been knitting more fantastic gifts for the little people in her life. The sweater is in Pima Tencel, and the dog in Blue Sky cotton.

Now we just need to convince her to put her talent to use making something for herself!
Enjoy the snow - and remember, spring will come. Someday. Maybe. It is possible.
